Generations Photo Rescue is a photo restoration company that specializes in customized photo restoration services for people wishing to preserve old or damaged photos. The business is based in Denver, Colorado.
After years in the nursing profession and caring for families, the company owner developed a deep appreciation for family history. Families often talked about their heritage and sometimes shared old photo albums. Faded, tattered and scratched, the photos were nearing the end of their natural life span. Now an Adobe Photoshop and printing expert, the owner has a passion for repairing and restoring treasured family photos for future generations.
Each photo is treated with care, using museum quality, archival materials. Upon receipt the original photo is examined closely and scanned. You are consulted to better understand the history of the photo and your vision for the restored photo. Size, color, special effects, and prints are discussed. The electronic, scanned photo is restored with skill and care using Adobe Photoshop software. This involves repairing tears, stains and missing parts, restoring color and contrast, resizing when needed, and adding any special effects when requested. Extra care is taken to retain the charm of the original, old photo.
The company uses only archival quality inks and professional photo papers. Print permanence is affected by many factors: some environmental like light, humidity, temperature and pollutants. There is not a precise answer to how long your photos will last. With proper care your restored photos will last many, many decades and much longer than standard photo prints.
The company’s mission is to rescue, one by one, the treasured photos of our past. All work is performed by Generations Photo Rescue. Your satisfaction with our work is guaranteed. If you are not completely satisfied, we will make it right or supply a complete refund.
